About Dr Cheryl Kokomma Udomessien || Origin of “Glory In You”
Hello Royalty,
My name is Dr Cheryl Kokomma Udomessien, I am a Christian, an optimist, and a positive influencer. My interests centre on living a full and balanced life including embracing healthy living, family, career growth, and emotional intelligence.
I love God passionately, and Christ Jesus is my everything! I barely survive without communicating with God and I hold fast to my faith in Him.
I began my academic journey studying Microbiology at Nasarawa State University, Nigeria. This path eventually led me to the University of Essex, UK, where I earned my PhD in Microbiology, specialising in Molecular Virology. I have also completed a Certificate in Training and Assessment (TAFE) and a Master of Applied Learning and Teaching, all driven by my deep love for teaching and sharing knowledge.
Over the years, my career has revolved around teaching at different academic levels, and through these experiences I have come to see that teaching is not just what I do, it is who I am. Sharing knowledge gives me joy, purpose, and fulfilment. Some of the most meaningful moments in my life have been when I learn something new and then pass it on to others in a way that inspires and empowers them.
My spare time is often used reading or writing down anything that inspires me. On one of the days I was delivering a lecture, the phrase “LEARN TO LEARN” jumped right out of my mouth. I was like “that’s it!” 🙂
GLORY IN YOU was created as a result of that revelation.
I am passionate about living out divine purpose and making the best out of life. This is my daily inspiration, hence, at the heart of it all is one belief: “Draw close to God through Jesus Christ the LORD, have faith (believe), and LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE!”.

Speaking about marriage, I am a huge fan of the marriage industry, I love peace and I like to promote same. It is my desire to always see happy couples and marriages all around me prosper. Personally, I desperately want mine to succeed and I cannot overemphasize how much God wants yours to work out positively also. A long time ago, I learned that families make up nations. Hence, if we can have good families all around the world, then we'll have great nations in general.
Having had boyfriends in the past and being married now, I can confidently say that I've got a "fair" amount of knowledge so far. In addition, I long to help singles, courting and engaged people build a solid foundation for a successful Godly marriage.
I believe that you don't have to go through something yourself to learn from it because another person’s experience is a better teacher (as my mum has always told me since I was a child).
