If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Psalms 11:3

God deliberately established man, family, and the world on a structure laid as a foundation.  Your foundation will either lead you to a positive or negative future. How sound your foundation is determines how great your future will be.  To operate on a faulty foundation is ignorantly preparing to crash on the way.  It is foundation that determines solidity and stability.  The foundation established by one generation will ultimately affect the destiny of future generations.  Beloved, the question is, what kind of foundation are you building on?  Your foundation matters.

Some of the foundations that affect the future are:

Sinful parents and ancestors

A sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward (Isaiah 1:4).  Every foundation established by sinful parents and ancestors can affect the next generation.

Idols and Idolatry

And Laban went to shear his sheep: and Rachel had stolen the images that were her father’s (Genesis 31:19).  Where there are idols and idolatry, there will be calamity.

Beloved, receiving the life of Christ begins the building of a new and godly foundation.  As you grow spiritually, your foundation grows stronger. Do away with the old foundation, and enforce the new from today. 

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your word. I correct every wrong foundation in my life by the blood of Jesus in Jesus’ Name.
