People love love. They want an ideal home; they want and fantasise about all that marriage should be. However, they cannot stomach what it takes to truly love or allow a home to thrive according to the manual GOD has given.
1 Cor 13 shows us the characteristics of what love is. It requires selflessness, a man and a woman letting the other party win at all times. It requires that husband and wife become one, with no one and nothing coming between them. It requires an environment where trust thrives, where a man can tell his wife his deepest fears and still feel whole, and vice versa, without being judged… the list goes on and on.
When you see a couple who work as a team, know that these and many more form the foundation of that home.
And if you need that to be your testimony, you too must pay the price to ensure your marriage stands by the Word of GOD, regardless of what you or any philosopher out there believes or teaches.
GOD’s Word is the ONLY standard.
